Free Vaccines By February – Polish PM Hopes

In a week in which Poland exceeded 1 million official cases of total coronavirus infections, Prime Minister Morawiecki announced today (Wednesday 2/12) that Poland had signed contracts for 45 million vaccines to cost between five and 10 billion zlotys.

Deployment plans are expected to be completed by the end of the week and the hope is that they will begin the vaccination process by February 2021.

He added that vaccination will not be mandatory and will be free to all citizens.

The source of the vaccines include Astra Zeneca, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson and more contracts will be signed in the near future.

This comes on a day when the UK has become the first country in the world to approve a covid-19 vaccine, beginning distribution by the end of the year.
